AIR-BRITAIN
RECOGNITION CONTEST
An open-to-all aircraft recognition competition,
for both teams and individual entries, has been held annually
for many years and brings to mind the origins of Air-Britain.
It is held at the Royal Air Force Museum, Hendon, in November
each year.
The contest comprises thirty colour slides
of aircraft, and both civil and military aircraft may be included
in the test. Each slide will be shown for up to two seconds, ample
time is then given for contestants to write the answer on the
provided sheet.
The following trophies are for annual
competition and are held for one year before being returned ready
for the next years contest. Cash awards are also made in each
category.

Air-Britain International Aircraft Recognition Contest 2006
We present herewith the results of the 45th Annual Air-Britain International Aircraft Recognition Contest, held at the RAF Museum, Hendon, on November 25th
.
This year the contest was attended 94 entrants, which is sadly quite a drop. Once again, the slides were selected by John MacMaster. As usual he provided a fair test of everyone’s ability and knowledge. Average marks this year came out at 14.2, up from 12.3 last year.
The trophies were presented by Pete Webber, chairman of Air-Britain.
